Pro- Anorexia Sites and Who Runs Them

Pro anorexia sites, we all know these sites are bad. Not only because they are encouraging the vulnerable to engage in self-harming behavior, but because they are slowly gaining popularity. Yes, as horrible as it is of a topic pro-anorexia sites exist and are taking off. For this conspiracy, it was brought to my attention that the people who run some of these sites are not always themselves victims of an eating disorder that is in itself a debilitating mental illness but are instead cruel trolls who get a sick thrill out of convincing already likely anorexic people to dive further into their condition. This is beyond unsettling and needs to be brought to the attention of the public. Together let's put this out there to stop these monsters from continuing the damage that they revel in.

According to this conspiracy that found that there are pro-anorexia sites being run by overweight and unhappy with themselves people, whose sole intention is to cause already thin people to run headfirst into their eating disorder. It is true that obese people can have eating disorders of their own and that not all eating disorders have sufferers that look the same. However, in this conspiracy, I am specifically speaking of those that find it funny to test their power over others by giving dangerous dieting tips with the intent to see how far they can take their followers into the realm of near, if not actual death.

The saddest part is that eating disorders for however long they manifest in a sufferer, still cause harm of some sort and the only hope is to immediately attempt to resolve this condition in a person so as to limit the damage done to their body by the eating disorder's devastation. In other words, the sooner that these sites are exposed for being toxic the better. The people who patron pro-anorexia sites are often under the impression that the people who run these sites are like them, other people with eating disorders. The truth is that some are and others are trolling sites meant to do as much harm to the site patrons as possible, only to distinguish them is almost impossible because both are equally bad for anyone who follows the alarming dieting advice given out as helpful tips. Things like telling site users that water is bad for them or to use stimulants instead of eating are common.

Let's shut down these sites for the greater good and let the people with an eating disorder know that they have been had by hateful people. Do you know anyone who uses these sites, or do you use them yourself? Say so in the site forums to let the world know your opinion of what this conspiracy means to you. Also if you or someone you know has an eating disorder please know that you are not alone and that help is out there for you. Take care of yourself and as always, Let Your Inner Shut In Totally Wig Out!
